Overview
The 675-kilometre Jordan Trail from Umm Qais in the north to Aqaba on the Red Sea passes through Wadi Rum desert, the ancient Nabataean city of Petra, and the Dana Biosphere Reserve in a 40-day traverse of the most diverse landscapes in the Middle East. The desert section through Wadi Rum involves scrambling up sand dunes, navigating by star, and sleeping in Bedouin camp in canyon shadows.
