Overview
The Coral Sea off Queensland's barrier reef edge contains some of the world's most pristine deepwater reef systems, including Osprey Reef with its North Horn shark feeding site and the wreck diving of the Coral Sea's WWII battlefields. The M/V Spirit of Freedom liveaboard route covers the outer Ribbon Reefs and Cod Hole where potato cod approach divers. The deepwater visibility exceeds 40 metres and the remoteness means coral cover approaching pre-human baselines.
