Lappland Reindeer Migration Trek

Overview

Following the Sami reindeer herders of Swedish Lappland during the spring migration from winter forest pastures to the high fjell is one of the most authentic cultural encounters in Scandinavia. The snowscooter-assisted migration covers hundreds of kilometres, and spending days with a Sami family learning traditional ecological knowledge connects visitors to a herding culture that has moved with these seasons for centuries. The long Arctic spring light illuminates the reindeer columns moving north.
