Overview
The ultimate polar achievement: skiing the last degree of latitude to the Geographic North Pole, crossing 111 km of drifting Arctic Ocean sea ice. Hauling a pulk sled loaded with all food and equipment, teams navigate pressure ridges, open leads of freezing water, and unpredictable weather in temperatures as low as -40°C. The reward is standing at the very top of the world, surrounded by nothing but ice in every direction. One of the most exclusive adventures on Earth, attempted by only a handful of teams each season.
